Traveling to Iceland was a dream and it felt like a dream the whole time I was there and not because of the extreme lack of sleep either. The landscape, the ponies and the people
are just amazingly beautiful and warm. I only spent 5 days there, not nearly enough time when your traveling alone and want to see so much and also meet up and photograph a model. I never do things the easy way and I think at this point that may never change although next time and there will be a next time I will spend more time, plan MUCH better and maybe go with a friend (s).
Hera is the one model I did manage to meet and photograph in my short time there. We met late afternoon and drove to Reynisfjara beach to grab what we could of the afternoon light. Iceland can be moody weather wise, ( all the more reason to love it ), so it was bright sun to deep clouds while we were shooting. The beach was super windy and of course had it’s share of other people but oh my gosh it was SO worth it! To tell you this girl is amazingly professional and easy to work with would be an understatement. Most of the time we were dodging sneaker waves, tourist and most of all the killer wind. I had to yell over the wind most of the time, not easy for either of us but we did it! I love some of the shots we got and cannot wait to go back to this magic place, explore more of it and hopefully work with Hera again!
I love you Iceland, thank you and I’ll be back soon!!
